The ultra-wide-angle lens offers a focal length equivalent to 16.5mm, making it a versatile option for subjects ranging from architecture to landscapes, as well as for portable vlogging needs.
The bright f / 1.8 maximum aperture is ideal for shooting with shallow depth of field and excels even in low light conditions.
The optical design offers impressive sharpness throughout the frame and also contributes to high sharpness by reducing color fringing and variety of aberrations.
The rounded 7-blade diaphragm contributes to a soft and natural bokeh quality.

Refined focusing performance

The linear motor system uses two separate motors to provide fast, quiet and precise autofocus and tracking. This design also contributes to a more natural and intuitive linear response manual focus control, and an AF / MF switch is located on the lens barrel for quick change of focus mode.
-Focus design offers more responsive focusing performance and maintains a constant overall lens length during operation.
-Suitable for close-up shooting, the minimum focus distance is 4.7 "with a maximum magnification of 0.2x when using manual focus, or 5.9" with a magnification of 0.13x when using autofocus.
-Smooth Motion Optics (SMO) suppresses help focus to maintain composition accuracy when changing focus. This lens is also compatible with the breath compensation function in some Alpha cameras.
